Forecourt Interceptor Emergency Shut-off Valves are an off the shelf access chamber designed to be installed down-steam of the full retention separator on petrol filling stations
and other sites where there is a potential for contaminated effluent leaving the site during maintenance or an emergency. Our valve should be closed after a major spill
event has occurred and should only be reopened once remedial actions have been completed to remove the contaminated effluent. In the UK it is an offence to cause pollution
to surface waters or groundwater either deliberately or accidentally. Small amounts or ethanol and other soluble components in petrol are not retained by Class 1 interceptors and can lead to unforeseen offsite contamination.
